Cool Fall/ Halloween stamps

I was at Joann's today and came across these clear stamps - only $1.00 a package. I just love the designs! They will be great in my fall crafting and you can't beat the price.

Nadia

In December my son and I went to the Saturday market Holiday Market here in Salem to pick out a kitty. I let Aidan choose and he picked out a great cat and named her Nadia ( which is Aidan backwards). Of course the name fits her to a "T" because she is soooooo naughty too. We did our best to keep her an indoor cat, but she was just too passionate about going outside. When she learned to open the locked front door we gave up.
When we came home the other day my hubby snapped this picture of her - sometimes she is just too curious for her own good. When she came running to see us she even had more spider web on her face then in the photo - silly kitty!

Country Sampler

Whew - it's been a crazy last couple of days. I've been busy trying to get things ready for the fall and getting my house ready for the Country Sampler shoot. It's so strange to think my humble home is going to be in a magazine. It was so much fun watching Donna and Philip shoot the house and interesting too. The house was a little dark, however. After days and days of warm weather and sunshine it was so cloudy on the day of the shoot. But they have great lighting so it worked out all right in the end. When I saw the pictures of my home on the computer - I thought wow that looks like a home in Country Sampler magazine! It was like seeing my house through someone else's eyes.
Donna brought tons of lovely flowers and dill too. Now the smell of my house reminds me of my grandmother. She always had flowers from her garden in the summer and she used dill. When I close my eyes I reminded of her.
I really enjoyed sharing my goodies with Donna (even though I'm an only child) and moving things around. When mom and I went to the Farm Chicks show - I purchased an old pie safe and repainted it and Philip and photographed that as well. It always feels good when other people like what I like too.
I'm not sure when the issue with my home in it will publish - most likely in the spring/ early summer of 2010 - as soon as I know I'll let everyone else know.

Candle Wraps

I'm slowly, but surely getting ready for fall. One of the things I have been working on are candle wraps. I just love 'em. I made some up at the beginning of summer that are nice and prim for year round and they have been selling really well at the Girl's Back Porch. Now I'm working on fall, Halloween, Christmas and of course any time designs. The one wrapped around the candle is from a stitchery design from Twigs. They fit so well in my Longaberger vegetable basket. I got two last year at Goodwill for $2.99 each. I will be selling these at all of my shows and at the Girl's Back Porch. They retail for $11.95.

Neat Vintage Flashcards

As part of my craft room clean up I was going through my vintage flash cards and found these. I've had them for years and never noticed how unusual they are. The letter "T" is almost always for table and "I" is igloo. Anyway I had some frames that they fit into nicely and I thought they would be darling in someone's Thanksgiving display. I'm going to sell them at the September Blackberry Junction for $6.50 ea. I also am going to frame some more flash cards that fit nicely into the fall theme.

Believe it or not I finished cleaning!

As you can see I finally got my craft room all clean in time for fall crafting.
I'm really looking forward to have a fresh space to work in. I love being in this room when it is clean. I will be having a killer garage sale next year however.
I will be posting the rest of my pictures on webshots in the next couple of days.

New Chair

Last week when I was dropping off my goodies at the Girl's Back Porch I found this darling chair. I love small chairs normally I don't buy rockers, but this one is so small it doesn't matter ( I don't collect children's rocking chairs because the rungs get in the way). I got home found a place for it and then realized that I didn't have a doll for it. I never ever make dolls for myself, but this time I did, and she came out really cute. Of course I can never make just one of anything, so her 3 sisters are at the store.

Please Pray for me :-)

Okay, I am really embarrassed to show the whole world these pictures but this is why I'm taking two weeks to off from crafting to get my craft room in order. I just hope I can find my way out again once I get started. If you would like to see pictures of what it is suppose to look like go to my picture trail site and please wish me luck.

May sale at the Girl's Back Porch

We all have been working really hard over the last several weeks getting ready for the big sale this last weekend at the Girl's Back Porch. It was so much fun! I had a great time visiting with all of the different customers. I sold so much out of my booth I'll have to take new pictures to show you all. My old space is now the Americana area and I'm now  in the main room. Some of these pictures are of my space and some are of the store.  I even got one with my new raggedy. I'm also making candle cozies. These wrap around jar candle and have a great country look. I will have a bunch of these made up for my fall shows. As soon as I get my craft room clean I will also be making a bunch of Americana stuff from stitcheries to dolls. Then it will be time to get ready for fall shows.

More goodies at the Porch

I know I haven't been posting - this blogging thing is new to me. I am not a natural writer and I'm still trying to get in the swing of things. Anyway I am going to try to up date my blog a couple of times a month but I'm sure it will take me a while to get into the habit.
I have been a busy little crafter and have been filling my space up at the Girl's Back Porch in Keizer. I've been going through my Longaberger and have taken in a bunch of older baskets and some pottery - all of it below the Bentley Guide prices. I have also been having a great time making paper covered barn stars. They are just too much fun. I am going to make some more for my fall shows too. I also finally got around to making some Raggedies. I have more in the works right now. I have posted some pictures of my space so have fun looking.
I also wanted everyone to know that I'm not going to to the spring Blackberry Junction show this year. I'm trying hard to get a head of the game so I can have more things made for my fall shows.

Girl's Back Porch

The beginning of August I was luck to get a new larger space at The Girl's Back Porch in Keizer Oregon. I love selling at this store - it is so warm and friendly. This Sunday is a work day at the store for vendor's so I will be changing over my space to Fall and I am so excited! As you can see I had a sucessfull summer finding treasures for my space and have a bunch more in my garage just waiting for the ones in the store to sell. So keep coming back to see what goodies I have for the store.

coming soon!

I thought this would be a fun way to promote my business and let everyone know of up coming shows and goodies I've made or found. I will be working on my blog soon.
