Aunt Bee's House

Well now I can be found at three locations - The Girl's Back Porch, Aunt Bee's House (located on Commercial street in South Salem), and of course my selling blog
I moved into Aunt Bee's House this morning and here are some pictures of my space....

Well my space is a little smaller than the Girl's Back Porch, but I don't think I could handle two big spaces. I'm really looking forward to selling at Aunt Bee's house. I have a link to Aunt Bee's House on my blog list if you would like to check it out.Tomorrow I'm planning on dropping off at the porch tomorrow.... maybe I'll remember my camera.

I finished up these wooden framed wool stars. I used my cricut to cut the vinyl letters. I have these at The Girl's Back Porch and later in the week at Aunt Bee's House.

I also finished these sheep ornaments. They came out so cool. Their legs are made from old square head nails. They are made from a pattern by Kentucky Primitives. They are also at Girl's Back Porch and will be at Aunt Bee's House as well.

More Vintage Country Living pictures

I've slowly been going through these old magazines - so many neat ideas. Some pictures would be great to show on this blog but they don't scan very well because they are on the fold. Anyway here is a sampling of what was great over 20 years ago and would still be great today (just minor tweaking here and there). I am bundling these magazines up 2 for a $1.00 and taking them to the Girl's Back Porch as I finish them if anyone around here is interested.
These pictures are from January 1985 - love the stairs with the stitcheries and crocks.

These pictures are from January 1986 - I love all of the wooden ware. 24 years later and everything here is still collectable.
This kitchen is from January 1986 as well. I really like the cabinets.

These are from April 1986 - love the penny rug.

April 1986 - love love love the star hooked rug!

New Penny Rug

I finished up another penny rug for the store. I am hooked on making pennies. I guess it's not very "springy" but I can't help it. I think I need to make some round candle mats next. I'm hoping to take this to the store today or tomorrow. It is made from new and recycled wool and is hand-stitched by little ol' me and is $30 in case anyone is curious.

Farm Chicks Antique Show

If you live in the Pacific Northwest and you love antiques, folk art, Primitives, cottage style, & unique items you have to go to the Farm Chicks Show. My mom and I went last year ( we drove 6 hours) and had such a great time. The show has such a great energy and so many neat things to see. My black and white pie safe (pictured on the side bar) was purchased there last year. Click here to check out the website for more information. Hope to see you there!

Raggedy Anne Bag holder dolls

I'm back from my wonderful trip from Disneyland- we had such a wonderful time. I am glad to be back and creating again. I started these dolls before we left, and I just finished them. I have 3 of these cuties at the store and I'm saving 2 for a upcoming show and 1 for my selling blog. Their aprons are made from antique pettycoats.

The Girl's Back Porch & a penny rug.

I spent some quality time working on my space yesterday at the store. I am going to be featuring some vintage kitchen goodies for a while. I have no room in my kitchen for displaying neat collectibles so I love to pick them up for the store. I also put some other of Judy's lovely kitchen items in my space as well. The dress form and apron are Carols (she makes the aprons - just love 'em).

Love love love the vintage child's stove I found! If only I could put it in my kitchen.

My dad is such a great guy. I purchased the plans for this chimney cupboard and he built it for me. It was so much for to work together! I painted it a new color (for me anyway) and I really like it.

I also just got these rugs in. They are a special price at only $29 each. They can hang on the wall or would work great in front of a sink.
I also just finished my second penny rug. I am planning on taking it to the store tomorrow - I'm a little hooked on them for now so I'm sure there will be more soon - as a matter of fact I'm going to take some cut out pennies to Disneyland - just in case I have a couple of minutes to stitch!

I also received the new issue of Mercantile Gatherings and I have a couple of other treasures to drop off at the store tomorrow afternoon. So if have a chance stop by the store and tell them Emily sent you.
